There’s still time to submit your MPP and MIA applications before our final deadline.
Time is really flying by in 2021! We’ve crossed into April already, which means our 1 May deadline is just around the corner. You still have plenty of time to put your documents together and request a couple of reference letters. Still unsure about the application process? Check out the video below.
Please read our admissions requirements very carefully and register in our online application portal to apply.
Financial aid and scholarships still available
We’re still offering financial support in the form of partial tuition waivers for MPP and MIA applicants who apply by 1 May. You can also still apply to the following scholarships programmes:
- International Security Policy Scholarship (full tuition waiver for MIA only)
- Digital Governance Scholarship (full tuition waiver)
- Scholarship for Public Servants in Brazil (partial tuition waiver covering at least 50% of study fees)
- Hertie School Fellowship (automatic 25% tuition reduction granted to admitted applicants who are stipend holders of the German Begabtenförderungswerke)
Tips for your application
Here are some helpful tips on the different documents we require for admission:
- CV
- Letter of motivation
- Transcripts
- Letters of reference
- English proficiency test scores, if applicable (can be sent to us before 1 June)
Please upload all documents except academic letters of reference along with your application form in our online portal. You may also send your English proficiency results to us at a later time if you have yet to take a test, but please do so by 1 June.
MDS application deadline extended to 1 June
This year we’ve extended the application deadline for the Master of Data Science for Public Policy programme only. So if you are an MDS applicant, you have time until 1 June to fill out the form in our online portal and submit all your documents. Financial aid will also still be available if you apply by this new deadline. If you want to apply for the Digital Governance Scholarship, however, you must submit all documents for both the MDS programme and the scholarship by 1 May.
We’re accepting Executive MPA applications until 15 August
Prospective Executive Master of Public Administration students have a bit more time to apply to our flexible, mid-career programme for working professionals. Still, we encourage you to apply sooner rather than later, as our priority deadline is 1 June. View the admissions requirements here.
