A presentation by Jonathan Guy (PhD Candidate, UC Berkeley) and Jonas Meckling (Associate Professor of Energy and Environmental Policy, UC Berkeley). This event is part of the Sustainability Colloquium hosted by the Centre for Sustainability.

During this Sustainability Colloquium Jonathan Guy (PhD Candidate, UC Berkley) and Jonas Meckling (Associate Professor of Energy and Environmental Policy, UC Berkeley), will present research on "National models of climate governance among major emitters". Following the presentation, attendees will have the chance to discuss and ask questions. This session will be moderated by Christian Flachsland.

About our Speakers

Associate Professor of Energy and Environmental Policy, Jonas Meckling studies the politics of climate and clean energy. He publishes his research in leading journals, including Nature Climate Change, Nature Energy and Science. Additionally, he is the author of two books, the latest of which is Carbon Coalitions: Business, Climate Politics, and the Rise of Emissions Trading (MIT Press).

Furthermore, Jonathan Guy (PhD Candidate) is interested in comparative politics, particularly climate change, inequality, and state-led development within the context of contemporary global capitalism. His ongoing dissertation project investigates divergent patterns in energy planning among middle income countries from the 1990s to the present.
